Ruriango Safaris was founded in 2024 by a young Mbanderu woman called Tjiuatjita Uananisa who is very passionate about the wild,nature as well as the diversity of cultures found in Botswana.The company focuses on tailor made travel experiences."Tjiua" as popularly referred to is from Sehithwa village in the North West district and is the 7th of 8 siblings.

Tjiuatjita's love for the tourism industry was sparked back in 2021 when she started a part-time job at the Phakalane Golf Estate as a waitress at one of their restaurants. Though a degree holder in Public Administration and Political Science from the University of Botswana,Tjiua decided to venture in the Tourism sector in 2024 and has not looked back since.
